🌍 Comilla to the World: Heart Care Foundation Comilla Achieves Global Recognition

Heart Care Foundation Comilla, Bangladesh–এর পক্ষ থেকে প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও সভাপতি অধ্যাপক ডা. তৃপ্তীশ চন্দ্র ঘোষ এবং সহ-সভাপতি ডা. মল্লিকা বিশ্বাস World Heart Federation (WHF)–এর প্রেসিডেন্ট Daniel Peñeiro–এর হাত থেকে “Most Inspiring World Heart Day Award 2023” গ্রহণ করেন।

এই মর্যাদাপূর্ণ পুরস্কার প্রদান অনুষ্ঠানটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয় ২০ মে ২০২৩, শনিবার, জেনেভা, সুইজারল্যান্ড–এ। অনুষ্ঠানে WHF–এর WHF Past President Prof. Fausto Pinto and President-Elect Prof. Jagat Narula উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

এটি বাংলাদেশের জন্য একটি ঐতিহাসিক অর্জন, কারণ এই প্রথম কোনো বাংলাদেশি সংগঠন World Heart Federation থেকে এ ধরনের আন্তর্জাতিক ও মর্যাদাপূর্ণ সম্মাননা লাভ করল।

গত ১৯ বছর ধরে অধ্যাপক ডা. তৃপ্তীশ চন্দ্র ঘোষ নিরলসভাবে হৃদরোগ ও স্ট্রোক প্রতিরোধে সচেতনতা তৈরির লক্ষ্যে World Heart Day আয়োজনসহ নানা কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করে আসছেন। তাঁর এই দীর্ঘমেয়াদি ও প্রভাবশালী অবদানের স্বীকৃতি হিসেবে World Heart Federation এবার Heart Care Foundation Comilla–কে বিশ্ব হার্ট দিবস উদযাপনে অসাধারণ কাজের জন্য সম্মানিত করেছে।

Heart Care Foundation Comilla Wins World Heart Award 2023

World Heart Award 2023 has brought global recognition to Heart Care Foundation Comilla, Bangladesh. This prestigious honour highlights the organisation’s long-standing commitment to heart health awareness and community engagement.

On behalf of Heart Care Foundation Comilla, Founder and President Prof. Dr. Triptish Chandra Ghose and Vice President Dr. Mallika Biswas received the Most Inspiring World Heart Day Award 2023. The award was presented by Daniel Peñeiro, President of the World Heart Federation, on 20 May 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Moreover, the ceremony was attended by WHF Past President Prof. Fausto Pinto and President-Elect Prof. Jagat Narula. Their presence further emphasised the global importance of this recognition. Notably, this is the first time a Bangladeshi organisation has achieved such a prestigious World Heart Award.

For the past 19 years, Prof. Dr. Triptish Chandra Ghose has consistently worked to prevent heart disease and stroke. Through regular World Heart Day programmes, awareness campaigns, free heart camps, and public rallies, Heart Care Foundation Comilla has reached thousands of people. As a result, heart health awareness has grown significantly in the region.

In particular, the organisation’s World Heart Day 2022 initiatives, including a large-scale cycle rally in Comilla, drew international attention. Consequently, the World Heart Federation recognised these impactful efforts and honoured the organisation with the World Heart Award 2023.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Triptish Chandra Ghose expressed sincere gratitude to all members, officials, volunteers, and well-wishers of Heart Care Foundation Comilla.
